Sentimentalist about the album "Illuminate":

" 'Illuminate' is the very first full-length album I have ever released and it features nine brand new songs that were written and recorded between the years of 2012 and 2018. It's an album that is aimed at sending the listener into a state of deep introspection and my goal for the album was to have some sort of general thread throughout the album that reminds the listener of the calming harmony of nature; for instance I integrated several sound design ideas as part of the percussion for many tracks, such as footsteps on grass and gravel, to create a really earthy and organic atmosphere for the listener.

I went back and forth through a lot of musical ideas and chord progressions, melodies and harmonies, different instruments and so on and the point of it all was really to experiment and try out different things. I tried to finish the album already in 2016 but I wasn't just there yet production-wise. Now I feel like it's finally sounding the way I always imagined and being able to actually release this album to the world is really a dream come true in so many ways. "
